Tasks and timing

How many tasks are there?
What types? (briefing, discussion, report, etc.)
Do you get prep time?
How long do you have to speak/write?
Are word/time limits strict?

Marking

What exactly is evaluated? (fluency, accuracy, pronunciation, task achievement)
What errors can lower your score?
How is the final mark calculated?
What is the minimum you must meet?

Topics

Typical subject areas: military, professional life, personal life, social issues
Common sources: news, interviews, reports, analyses, reviews

Level requirements

Skills expected at this level: asking questions, presenting, discussing, writing reports, reading long texts, listening to complex audio.

Language functions

What you must be able to do: request, suggest, hypothesise, complain, evaluate, give opinions, etc.
What style is required: formal / semi-formal / informal—and how to switch between them.
